role categories
Original is here.
Each role belongs to one or more role categories. Role categories only apply to the player's main role. Secondary roles are not considered when determining behavior based on categories. Categories are always shown in uppercase and lowercase to distinguish them from role names (which are always lowercase).
Main categories
There are four main categories. Each role must belong to exactly one of these categories. These categories are used to determine overall team affiliation and role winning at the end of the game.
Wolfsteam
- The role is a member of the wolf team and wins with the wolves. The Mystic learns how many players are on the wolf team each night, and the Augur sees these roles as red.
Village
- The role is a member of the village and wins with them. The Augur sees these Role as blue.
Neutral
- The player does not know that this is the role and instead gets the message that he is either a citizen or a cultist (depending on the HIDDEN_ROLE setting in the game mode). They win alongside that role (so they win with the village when told they are commoners, and win with wolves when told they are cultists). The Augur sees these roles as belonging to a team (blue if village, red if wolf team).
Other categories
Roles may also belong to zero or more of the following categories. These categories describe the general behavior for that role type and can be changed per role.
For example, the werekitten is always missed by Gunner instead of at shot to die.
Cursed
- Roles with this category are considered Wolf by the Seer and Oracle, even if they are certain or innocent.
Example: Mad scientist, Succubus
Innocent
- Roles with this category are always considered Villager by the Seer and Oracle. , even if they are Wolf. Also, these roles cannot be Gunner or Cursed Citizens.
Example: werekitten, priest, fool, jester]
Killer
- Roles with this category can kill other players during the game. Roles that only kill on death (rather than proactively kill) should not belong in this category (eg Mad Scientist und vengeful ghost). Wolf roles without this category cannot use the kill command.
Example: Wolf, Hunter, Gunner, Sharpshooter, Dullahan
Nocturnal
- Roles with this category can trade every night. Roles that can only play once per game or not every night should not fall into this category (e.g. Hunter, turncoat or Matchmaker). You will from the werecrow observed as not lying in bed.
Example: Wolf, Harlot, Schaman, Vigilante Member
Safe
- Roles with this category will be dated by the Seer always seen as their proper role and not just as a citizen or wolf. When a role is both safe and innocent, safe takes precedence. However, Cursed takes precedence over Safe. The Wolfs mystic the number of safe is given every night.
Example: Harlort, Hunter, Shaman
Spy
- Roles actively learning information about players, roles, or categories. Roles whose primary purpose is not to obtain information, but the information comes as a side benefit should not belong to this category (z. B. Harlot). You will date from Sorcerer observed as access to additional information.
Example: werecrow, Sorcerer, Seer, Detective, Prophet, Investigator
Intuitiv
- Roles with passive information about players, roles or categories. Passive information may not be current and does not require player action to obtain. Roles whose primary purpose is not to obtain information, but the information comes as a side benefit should not belong to this category (z. B. Sorcerer, who knows who is cursed).
Example: Minion, Mystic, Wolf Mystic
Team changer
- Roles with this category may change their team affiliation throughout the game.
Beispiel: Amnesiac, turncoat, Lycan, Wild Child
profit stealer
- Roles with this category can win to the exclusion of all others (including Village/Wolves). Roles with this category should always be in the neutral category as well. These scrolls are sure-fire kill targets for the vigilante and the Wolfs mystic gets the number of winning stealers every night.
Example: Monster, Fool, Succubus, Piper. Demoniac
Wolf
- This category indicates that the role is a wolf. Roles with this category should always be in the Wolfteam category as well. A wolf roll is dated Seer and Oracle as Wolf identified, always dies when shot by the gunner , is a sure kill target for the vigilante and kills visiting harlot. The Minion gets the list of wolf players at the beginning of the game. The village must kill every wolf scroll to win the game.
Example: Wolf, Wolf Cub, Wolf Shaman, Werecrow
Wolfschat
- This category indicates that the role has access to Wolfchat depending on the RESTRICT_WOLFCHAT setting. Roles with this category should always be in the Wolfteam category as well. In order for Wolves to win, the number of players with Wolfchat access must equal or exceed the number of players without Wolfchat access.
Example: Wolf, Werecrow, Sorcerer, Hag, Warlock, Traitor
