Boosts & Ignitions

Power Boosts are powerful upgrades for your character. You can buy these in the shop, but they're not cheap.
Once you've bought one, you won't be able to use it right away as it uses a portion of your Ignition Gauge.

You raise this gauge where you buy points in the shop (relative to the other stats, these won't be exactly cheap either).
You will find that your IG will not be filled if you buy the maximum. To fill the IG you must win in battles or be killed by monsters.

Once you've collected enough IG you can activate them just like weapon powers: /me goes (name)

You'll find that in addition to +Stat gains, Power Boosts have two special perks: Enhancements and Effects.

• Upgrades work the same as weapon upgrades, but they are only temporary until the power boost is turned off.
• Effects are active immediately the first time you use Power Boost. The effects affect either yourself, your allies, or your enemies, usually inflicting a status effect.

You can manually cancel the Power Boost before your IG runs out with the command: /me reverts from name
Any effects activated when you use the Power Boost are not lost when you manually canceling it (unless it's a one-round type effect, which is usually over when the target's turn comes up anyway).

Power Boosts can be upgraded by purchasing them multiple times up to level 10.
Keep in mind that the purchase cost increases with each upgrade. Each upgrade changes the stats that the Power Boost provides, but the initial use and maintenance of the IG remains the same.
