The AI battles
Did you know that the game has a secondary game mode where the game chooses a random NPC to fight a random monster or boss? I call it AI vs AI Battles. During this mode, the game randomly chooses a streak level from 1 to 9999 and the two opponents to face off in a deathmatch. Players cannot participate in these battles and can only spectate. Your job during these games is, if you wish, to bet a few double dollars on who you think will win and hopefully come out victorious. This mode does not usually happen by itself. A game admin must use !startbat ai to start one manually, or set the game to automatically activate this mode with !toggle automated ai battle (and used the command another time to turn it off again).
At the start of an AI vs. AI battle, you'll see the following:
During the open betting period you can take a few seconds to look at the information on the two fighters. In this case, it's Urahara Kisuke the NPC against the Demon Wall at streak level 7644. The game tries to guess who will win the fight, although there's always a chance the game will choose a random AI. As you can see from the information, Urahara Kisuke has a power boost that can turn the tide of battle in her favor, while the DemonWall has 5 techniques that could help her win.
So how do you bet? First, make sure you have double dollars. You can do this with the command !doubledollars.
When you do this you can use !bet monster # or !bet npc #, where # is the number of double dollars you need to have to bet them.
If you don't have enough double dollars, you can exchange Allied Notes in the shop for some $$ at a rate of 2 double dollars for every 1 Allied Note.
The command for this is: !exchange alliednotes #
Note that you can place your bet privately if you don't want the other players to see who you are betting on .
After the betting period is over, the battle begins and looks something like this:
The first two lines are identical to normal player vs. monster/boss battles. However, the last line shows you how many $$ have been wagered in total between all and the odds. The odds are important because they determine how much you will win if your fighter wins the battle.
For the odds it goes NPC to MON Chance and the number with the lower amount is the game's favorite to win the fight (and will therefore pay less). So in this case the game thinks that the monster will win the battle. So if you bet on the NPC and the NPC wins, you win more.
To find out how much $$ you're going to win, determine which side of the odds amount you're on, then divide by the opposite side.
In this case, the game thinks the monster is going to win, so it is 1.1/9.5 = $0.12 per $$1 bet. However, if an NPC wins, it's $9.5 per $1.1. This is in addition to your original bet.
So let's say I bet $10 on the NPC and the NPC won. I get $10 + (10 * 9.5) = $105 total.
Conversely, let's say I bet $10 on the monster and the monster won. I would get $10 + (10 * 0.12) = $11 in total.
The people who win money are displayed after the battle
Sound complicated? Don't worry too much. This isn't meant to be too serious and instead is just a way to while away some time away from the constant battles. If you run out of $$, you can always get more by doing some portal battles and swapping the notes. Or, you can exchange these $$ for Allied Notes and spend the Notes in the shop.
Have fun playing!
